The concert season of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis House announces the first event of the international project 'European Music Trails'. The cycle of three concerts on 17th, 18th and 19th October will be held in different Lithuanian cities and will reflect M. K. Čiurlionis' study years in Leipzig. Young Lithuanian talents, violinists Konrad Levicki and Benas Gocentas, violist Skaistė Žižytė, cellist Augustas Gocentas and pianist Joris Sodeika will present the program that includes works by M. K. Čiurlionis, Edward Grieg and Clara Schumann.

Aforementioned artists just came back from the festival organized by Leipzig University where they presented the same musical program that is part of project 'European Music Trails' implemented in 2018–2020 by M. K. Čiurlionis House together with partners from Leipzig and Oslo. Main figures of this initiative are M. K. Čiurlionis, E. Grieg and C. Schumann who are joined by Leipzig cultural experience. They all lived and worked in Leipzig during different periods of their lives and took its cultural experience into their countries.

'European Music Trails” will include not only concerts, but also festivals, artist residencies, discussions, masterclasses, exhibitions, educational projects as well as new musical tourist routes. All these tools are dedicated to the close acquaintance with aforementioned three composers, inspiring international cooperation, discussions about artistic connections and identities, paying exceptional attention to the young musicians.
