On May 4 at 17:00 young talents from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre will offer a colourful blend of chamber music. The evening, entitled “Chamber Spring” will feature works of French composers and contemporary authors scored for harp, strings, flite and piano.

On May 8 at 18:00 Čiurlionis House begins new series of lectures-recitals “Silhouettes of Sofia”, devoted to the writer Sofija Čiurlionienė-Kymantaitė. The first event will examine what were Sofia’s contacts with symbolist art before meeting M. K. Čiurlionis. Lecture by Dr. Nida Gaidauskienė will be enriched by piano works of R. Strauss, S. Rachmaninov and K. Szymanowski performed by pianist Kszysztof Markewicz.

On May 15 at 18:00 Čiurlionis House continues the cycle of evenings-meetings with the National Prize for the Culture Winners “Vision of Lithuania today through the window of the Čiurlionis House”. This time philosopher Nerijus Milerius in dialogue with writer and essayist Giedra Radvilavičiūtė will examine current spiritual and creative atmosphere of Lithuania. The evening will be broadcasted live via Čiurlionis House Facebook channel.

On May 24 at 18 Čiurlionis House together with Latvian Embassy in Vilnius will be holding an opening of the exposition of paintings by Latvian artist Alexanders Lukjanovs. The artist’s daughter Jana Lodeholm, who currently resides in Stockholm, will be present at the opening. The evening also will feature a unique piano recital by Raffi Karadžanjans (Latvia) together with Sonata and Rokas Zubovas (Lithuania).
